Microchip's SST26VF016/032B/064B family of devices are serial four-way I/O™ (SQI™)  SuperFlash® storage ics with six-wire, 4-bit input/output interfaces that allow low-power, high-performance operations in compact low-pin technology packages. The use of the Microchip SQI™ interface enabled performance up to 104 MHz and low-latency execution-in-Place (XIP) functionality with minimal processor buffered storage. These flash chips also support full command set functionality for the traditional Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) protocol. By using SuperFlash® technology, these devices provide superior erase times that compare favorably with other flash memory alternatives. Sector and block erase commands usually take 18 ms, and full chip erase operations usually take 35 ms.
